IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025: advancing Sustainable Cities

The IUCN Urban Alliance is proud to announce its active participation at the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi (9-15 October 2025). As cities become central to both the biodiversity crisis and its solutions, our team is leading and contributing to a diverse set of sessions focused on urban nature, sustainable development, and innovative conservation strategies.

At the IUCN World Conservation Congress, we will also have the opportunity to organise the first in-person meeting of the IUCN Urban Alliance and explore how the Union has contributed to nature-positive urban ecosystems.

Join us and our partners as we showcase cutting-edge approaches, share practical tools, and foster dialogue on how cities worldwide can drive positive change for people and nature. Below is an overview of our sessions—don’t miss these opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate!
