The Restoration Opportunities Assessment Methodology (ROAM) was produced by IUCN and the World Resources Institute to provide a flexible and affordable framework approach for countries to rapidly identify and analyse forest landscape restoration (FLR) potential and locate specific areas of opportunity at a national or sub-national level. Having been successfully implemented in the City of Kigali, Rwanda, efforts are now underway to deploy ROAM in additional urban landscapes with a view to mobilising cities to contribute pledges to the Bonn Challenge – a target to restore 350 million hectares worldwide by 2030.
